Ganesh Chaturthi is the birthday of  Hindu God Ganesha.
Ganesha signifies new beginnings and a fresh start in life. Ganesha is also considered to be a symbol of wisdom, an expression to welcome anything new, travel, commerce,  good luck and fortune.
Ganesh Chaturthi is a festival of 10 days.
Many devotees bring Ganpati idol home and host him for the 1, 3, 5, 7 or 10 days.
On the tenth day, Ganesha’s statue is immersed in water, known as Ganpati Visarjan.
A lot of people nowadays consciously bring clay Ganesha to their homes. This eco friendly Ganesha has a  seed in it that can grow into a beautiful plant later.
Ganesha is immersed in a pot to avoid water pollution.
